TEAM VALOR BUYS HALF-INTEREST IN 2YO FILLY TASHA'S MIRACLE,
FILLY WILL CONTEST G3 SORRENTO STAKES AUGUST 8 AT DEL MAR

Team Valor has acquired a half-interest from Sydney Belzberg's Budget Stable in the 2-year-old filly Tasha's Miracle, who will make her next outing on August 8 in the Grade 3 Sorrento Stakes.

Trained by John Sadler, the filly has a win and a second from 2 outings at Hollywood Park, winning handily in :57 3/5 in her second race.

"She is a special filly," said Team Valor president Barry Irwin. "And it's not just that she's fast. There are a lot of fast fillies out there and more will come. But what separates this one from the rest is her temperament. She's cool as a cucumber. She won on a loose rein with the rider sitting motionless. And I think she will route. We look at her as a Breeders' Cup candidate."

Tasha's Miracle is from the first crop of Harlan's Holiday, who is off to a good start at stud, having had his first stakes winner last week in Canada.

"I spoke with Kim Lloyd, a former trainer who manages the filly for Mr. Belzberg," Irwin said. "We talked about her future. The plan is simple. We will look at the Del Mar Debutante and the Oak Leaft Stakes as preps for the Breeders' Cup. If she is good enough, she will go to Monmouth for the big event."
