In the past 20 racing seasons, the California-born syndicators have fashioned an enviable record of having 1 of every 7 horses they have sent out win or place in a Grade 1 fixture. Several stables that offer public partnerships list stakes races in which their horses have competed and refer to these runners as "stakes horses." When Team Valor reports these events and calls a horse a "Grade 1 horse" it means that this animal won or placed in this fixture. "Never confuse activity with accomplishment," a Team Valor spokesperson said. "Barry and Jeff have been sending out a steady stream of Grade 1 runners since their first syndicated racehorse Political Ambition won the Grade 1 Hollywood Derby in 1987." Grade 1 runners have been successful in such places as the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, England, Ireland, France, Germany and Italy. Additionally Team Valor has raced Champions or Highweights in the United States, Canada, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, England, Ireland and Italy. Last season Team Valor was represented by 17 horses that won or placed in stakes races Internationally. Among those winning Grade 1 races last year were Irridescence, best over Ouija Board in the Group 1 Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup in Hong Kong, and Becrux, best in the Grade 1 Bell Woodbine Mile in Toronto.
